In a press statement on Wednesday, the center stressed that the Palestinian female prisoners’ issue is ignored in the media and in Palestinian popular and official forums.

The 14 Palestinian female prisoners are continuously subjected to Israeli sanctions where they are deprived from family visits and from accessing the prison canteen, the center pointed.

The center called on human rights and humanitarian institutions and the Red Cross organization and the United Nations to send specialized delegations to check on the female prisoners’ conditions, and called on media to highlight and internationalize their issue.

The statement highlighted the case of the Dean of Palestinian female prisoners Lena Jerboni, 12years in Israeli jails, who suffers critical health condition in light of the Israeli deliberate medical neglect.
