Zahhar: Palestine’s liberation from the occupation will come true

KHARTOUM, (PIC)– Member of Hamas’s political bureau Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zahhar said that the liberation of Palestine from the Zionist occupation is a divine promise and will come true.

Dr. Zahhar made his remarks on Monday evening at the closing session of the eighth conference on occupied Jerusalem held by Al-Quds international institution in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.

“We confirm our determination that we will never quit until the banner of one God is raised in this occupied Islamic land and the injustice is lifted,” the Hamas official highlighted.

“We affirm that the liberation of Jerusalem is closer than we can imagine. They used everything to besiege us; food, education …, but we have broken the siege thanks to the righteous invocations and above all, the blessing of God,” he added.

He also expressed his belief that the Palestinian people in Gaza and their resistance would enter the Aqsa Mosque and would turn the Knesset into another Tahrir square.

On the sidelines of the conference, coordinator of the national action group to support Iraq and Palestine Khaled Al-Soufiyani said that the new Arab situation that emerged following the uprisings in Tunisia and Egypt is a contributing factor in resisting the Judaization and the occupation of Jerusalem.

“The revolutions that took place in Egypt and Tunisia and the one in Libya would change the geostrategic image in the region and the existing international relations, would have a positive impact on the Arab-Zionist conflict,” a press source quoted Soufiyani as saying.

The conference on Jerusalem concluded its sessions on Monday evening with the release of Al-Khartoum declaration which stated that any compromises or concessions made on Jerusalem or the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights is a national treason.

Al-Khartoum declaration demanded the Fatah-controlled Palestinian authority to end all forms of security cooperation and talks with the Israeli occupation, be biased in favor of the Palestinian resistance and the national constants and work honestly on ending the internal division.
