Arrests in Jenin and Qalqilya, Israeli officer insults the Prophet Muhammad

JININ, (PIC)– The city of Jenin has witnessed, at dawn Wednesday, Israeli incursions including the arrest of a citizen and the interrogation of another. In a provocative act, Israeli soldiers have insulted the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, in the streets of the village of Barta’a in Jenin behind the apartheid wall.

The Israeli occupation forces stormed the village and arrested Mujahid Mohammed Jaradat, 22, of the town of Silat al-Harithiya and took him to an unknown destination, locals told PIC’s correspondent.

The sources added that an Israeli intelligence officer insulted the women of the village through a loudspeaker, and insulted the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, causing anger among citizens.

The occupation forces also stormed yesterday evening a building under construction in village of Jalqamus east of Jenin, and searched it for more than an hour before leaving the area.

The Citizens pointed out that the occupation forces stormed the evacuated Homesh settlement, south of Jenin, where they erected a checkpoint hindering the movement of citizens after holding their vehicles.

Israeli occupation forces also broke into al-Araqah village west of Jenin and detained for an hour, Abdullah Jameel Wakid, after interrogating him.

The sources added that the Israeli occupation forces in a provocative step stormed the touristic village Haddad without any arrests were reported.

Furthermore, according to our correspondent in the city of Qalqilya, Israeli occupation forces arrested two citizens of the town of Azzun east of the city, after raiding their homes and damaging their contents.

Eyewitnesses confirmed to our correspondent that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town at 4 am, and arrested citizens Yacob Ghazi Swedan, 22, and Ibrahim Mohamed Zahran Swedan, 20.
