BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) — A man was injured on Tuesday when an Israeli settler tried to run him over in a village near Bethlehem, local officials said.

The Israeli driver tried to run over two Palestinians who were working near the entrance to Tekoa, municipal officials told Ma’an, adding that one suffered bruising in the incident.

Witnesses told Ma’an that Israeli police arrived and took both Palestinians to the Etzion military compound.

Earlier Tuesday, a 28-year-old Palestinian died from injuries sustained when he was run over by an Israeli near Barqan settlement, west of Salfit.

Zeid Ali Rayyan, from Qarawat Bani Hassan, died in hospital, leaving behind a wife and two children. (end)
