RAMALLAH, (PIC)– A Palestinian man in his forties was wounded in his shoulder when Jewish settlers shot at Palestinian villagers in Burka village to the east of Ramallah city on Saturday.

Palestinian medical sources told AFP that a group of 40 Jewish settlers from the settlement of Beit El attacked the village in the morning and shot at the Palestinian villagers who tried to confront them.

The sources said that Hassan Balqawi, 40, was hit in his shoulder and hospitalized.

In another incident, Jewish settlers stole 85 olive saplings from the land of a Palestinian farmer in his sixties.

Local sources said that Khader Ghalyun had planted the saplings four years ago in his land to the west of Khader village, south of Bethlehem.
